Instructions

    Boil and peel quail eggs, then trim stems of shishito peppers.

    Poke each pepper once or twice with a toothpick.

    Bring soy sauce, water, cooking wine, sugar, and garlic to a boil.

    Add quail eggs and simmer over medium heat for 8 minutes.

    Add peppers and simmer 5 more minutes to reduce the sauce.

Tips
