
Sichuan Beef Mapo Tofu
This Sichuan beef mapo tofu adds minced beef for extra depth. Beef richness rounds out the spicy fermented sauce.
Instructions

Cut tofu into 2 cm cubes and finely chop the green onion.

Heat oil in a pan and brown the ground beef over high heat.

Add garlic, white part of green onion, doubanjiang, and chili flakes, then stir-fry until fragrant.

Pour in soy sauce and water, bring to a boil, then simmer tofu gently for 3 minutes.

Mix cornstarch with 1 tbsp water and stir it in to thicken the sauce.

Turn off the heat and finish with the remaining green onion.
